Hello, this is Holden who loves cocktails! The second cocktail to be introduced after'Bacardi Cocktail' is Daiquiri. When I first heard of it,'Is it Japanese sake?' I remember being mistaken. As mentioned in the first cocktail introduction, Daiquiri is very similar in recipe to'Bacardi Cocktail'. It would be nice if you familiarize yourself with it. So let's get started!

1. Story

 'Daiquiri' is the name of a mine in a Cuban city. It is said to have been made by mining engineers who sweat in the heat of the year around 1896. The name'Daiquiri' was given by an American engineer who worked in this mine. It is a representative rum-based cocktail. It is easy to make and has a very good balance of acidity and sweetness, which is widely loved. Depending on the liqueur added in addition to the recipe, it becomes'Strawberry Daiquiri' and'Cassis Daiquiri'.

■ Ingredients

 - Light Rum 1 + 3/4 OZ

 - Lime Juice 3/4 OZ

 - 1 teaspoon sugar

 

 

3. Steps

 1. Cool the cocktail glass with ice.

 2. Add ice to shaker.

 3. Add 1 + 3/4 OZ light rum.

 4. Add 3/4 OZ of lime juice.

 5. Add 1 teaspoon of powdered sugar.

 6. Close the shaker and shake vigorously.

 7. Discard the glass ice and pour the drink.

 Lime is characterized by a long sour taste. The sugar is added here, so it literally tastes like'sweet and sour'. It is suitable for drinking before meals on summer days when there is no appetite. It is also highly recommended to go with a simple fruit snack!

■ Use white rum. Dark rum is not suitable for this cocktail

 

■ If you use grenadine syrup instead of sugar, it becomes'Bacardi Cocktail'
