1. Story

 It is said to be a cocktail that horse racing fans gathered at clubs in Kentucky, USA, enjoyed drinking. It has a similar taste and shape to the popular cocktail'Tody' at the time, meaning that it reminds you of the past. Initially, the recipe was similar to Mint Jureb, which uses sugar syrup with a mint twig, but later changed the same way as it is now. This cocktail is so popular that it even has a special glass. That glass we know well! It is a glass called an on the rock glass.

 

2. Information

 Recipe : Build

 Garnish : Sliced ​​orange and cherry

■ Ingredients

 - 1 piece of sugar cube

 - Angostura bitters 1 dash

 - 1/2 oz sota water

 - Bourbon Whiskey 1 + 1/2 oz

 

 

3. Steps

 1. Put 1 cube of sugar in an old fashioned glass.

 2. Hold the glass with your hand and add 1 dash of Angostura bitters.

 3. Add 1/2 oz of soda water.

 4. Crush the sugar cubes with a bar spoon and melt it while stirring.

 5. Fill ice cubes to 90% of the glass.

 6. Add 1 + 1/2 oz bourbon whiskey and stir with a bar spoon.

 7. Garnish with orange slices and cherries.

The harmony of the smell of smoke and the sweet and bitterness couldn't be better. For your information, it is recommended not to completely dissolve sugar in soda water.
